What Makes a Good Font?
Good Font
Before choosing a font to use for your business, it is important to consider the different types of elements that make a good quality, professional font. A good font can help enhance your brand and improve your designs.
Consistency
Consistency within a font’s letterforms convey professionalism because it creates unity. Elements within a font such as serifs, descenders, x-height, spacing, and so forth should be consistent throughout the font. This allows the characters to flow nicely together in harmony and gives our designs a clean aesthetic appearance.
Readability
A good quality font needs to be readable. Consistency in the letterforms will improve a font’s readability within a range of different font sizes and increase readers’ engagement.
Versatility
Poor quality fonts are not as versatile as good quality fonts because they were not properly designed. Choosing a good font will allow you to work better with your designs.
